FAQ's
Designing Your Room With Hamilton Interiors.

1. I HAVE NEVER WORKED WITH AN INTERIOR DESIGNER BEFORE, HOW DOES THE PROCESS WORK?
Generally when initial contact is made, we the design team ascertain in more detail, your vision for the project and any challenges, which you may be facing, we will then advise you of any necessary requirements to give you the very best advice possible. That may include emailing pictures, What’s app video, plans, measurements etc. We will then review all this information and will be in a position to offer our advice and expertise through the virtual consultation.
2. WHAT ARE THE COSTS INVOLVED?
The initial cost of the one-hour consultation is primarily to over concept design, mood boards, colour consultation, furniture suggestions and layouts, typically kitchen and bathroom design will need more time, initially at least 2 hours, you may then decide to work with the designer on an hourly fee, room fee or project fee. 70% of our clients will end up choosing a project fee, which is worked out individually depending on space, time and distance.
3. ARE BUDGETS DISCUSSED? RE RENOVATIONS/REDECORATION?
Yes, we discuss budgets in the consultation and as we are constantly involved in every element of a build our PC sums are usually pretty accurate. We could give a rough costing on knocking a wall, painting a kitchen versus a new kitchen, removing floors, gutting bathrooms etc.
4. WHAT IF I DON’T RECEIVE ALL MY ANSWERS IN THE ONE HOUR CONSULTATION?
Typically if the project is more detailed than one hour consultation, you would choose to move onto 2 hour option or a project fee.
5. WHAT HAPPENS IF I NEED TO CANCEL?
You can cancel up to 48 hours in advance free of charge through email or text message. 50% charge is incurred if you cancel within 24 hours.
6. CAN I GET A REFUND?
Typically refund is 3-5 working days.
7. HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE TO GET MY DESIGNS?
Once we receive the information, photos and payment you will normally receive your designs within 2-3 weeks.
8. HOW WILL I KNOW WHERE TO PURCHASE THE ITEMS SUGGESTED DURING THE CONSULTATION?
You will receive a list of suppliers or direct links where possible. Also any measurements you may need e.g. couches.
9. DOES HAMILTON INTERIORS PURCHASE THE ITEMS FOR ME?
This is a consultation service and the fee you pay is for the design and sourcing, it is the customer’s responsibility for purchasing.
10. CAN I USE THIS SERVICE TO DESIGN MY WHOLE HOUSE?
Yes you can absolutely use the service to design an entire house, we offer a multi-room option or move into a project fee.
